I woke to dawn crashing Splintering, cracking And watched darkness flee Smothered by the dream It lingered then dissipated Tears bathed me As my tortured cries Sang a muted melody Again I was taken Where I did not want to go. To that place inside me That numbing place Filled with buried thoughts Each headstone etched with memories of you I turned my face to the window Looked up at the sun And I saw my future You were not there. aziza |

Now that one has come to the realization, one can leave the cemetary of memories... Well done! Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

This is written so well. I can put myself in those feelings you've just expressedand you put it perfectly Gosh - I hate to say it, but I've been there, deep. Feeling that way makes me feel like a child again. So lost and alone, crying out for what isn't there. Thank you for sharing. |
