Poor Toe went to the dentist with a molar causing pain.
Whenever he bit down on bones the pain drove him insane.
He saw the name S. Slovenik there on the dentist door
And it reminded him of someone he had known before.

A classmate from old high school days appeared there in his mind
A fellow schoolchum from a time so many years behind.
A wierd coincidence for sure if this guy were the same
And very well he could be - it was not a common name.

But when the dentist walked out Toe knew it could not be him.
This fellow was so huge he made the Goodyear blimp look slim.
A strand or two of hair tried hard to cover half his head
And droopy jowls and wrinkles made his face an unmade bed.

Toe kept himself in perfect shape - he worked out every day
By chasing everything in skirts from Lincoln to Broadway.
He'd kept his youthful looks and called himself a handsome beast.
This dentist had to have a full ten years on him, at least!

But curiosity won out. He gave the dentist one long glance
And said, "Would your first name be Samuel, by any chance?"
"Why, yes it is!" and Toe thought to himself "this cannot be!'
"And did you graduate from Goober High in '63?"

"Right again!", the dentist said. "So tell me, how'd you know?
Not many folks remember me from days so long ago."
"You were in my class!", Toe said. "We sat within arm's reach!"
"Is that a fact?", the man replied. "What subject did you teach???"

My thanks to you all for enjoying. People always see us a little differently than we see ourselves....in Toerag's case it's a LOT differently!!

You never let us down....and this is no
exception other than the fact that Toe
has never been in shape for anything other than maybe volleyball with the seniors.

This is hitting close to home.     Apparently, it is much easier to see ourselves from the inside out. My high school class reunion is going on this weekend.  I have no desire to go and have people who used to know me ask who I am.
