5612 Unknown Being 15 August 2006 Where was love when density had its shores An ocean of dreams, a puddle of light to go forth, if the battle was in God to fight For the truth was to see even if eyes closed to visions past So comes first, but was love last of all to stand next to her, and be there to love fall Who said silence was quiet because the noise was above deafness Who said love was happiness, when that love was shielded from being Were eyes to open, eyes to see eyes of colours in humankind A blindness, ears unheard that scent of freedom Unable to know, this reality in seeing “If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.” 1 Corinthians 14: 27 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

Who indeed....? My own silence here hasn't been quiet at all...but it is ending. A little incident yesterday -- just a chance comment by a friend, on something unrelated to PiP or poetry -- put the needle back on the groove of my little record. Now I come back and see the excellent work here, and I want do write again, share again. Thank you. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I get the impression once you find this place, it is yours. I will bring you back, because of knowing the value of sharing your writing here And it will push you away because you feel ignored Or you find it is better to share and forgive. When there is little time in life to be bitter And some will enjoy what others do not There might be the old foe of the PIP club and everyone might want to browse at random and only comment on what is worthy to comment on Or you can be one of the established crew, who can have a bad day, and write a poem that is not their best, but end up with 25 comments anyway a poet who cares |

Oh boy, have I ever been there! I wouldn't have said it quite so well as you, but oh yes very much so. There are other factors too sometimes, but that "ins versus outs" thing can be especially hurtful. I've experienced both sides of that teeter-totter, and I don't like either. Wouldn't want it to become one of those clinical, critiques-only sites, but a little spot somewhere in-between would be nice. Some of us do it that way now, and I'd like to see more. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ |

"Who said silence was quiet because the noise was above deafness Who said love was happiness, when that love was shielded from being" Yep...sometimes silence speaks louder than anything the ear can hear...and happiness, well it is like dew...you got a get up early to catch it. |

Sure I caught it, of that I have not doubt and being on Pacific time, it does mean I get to be 19 hours ahead. So maybe that is early, just not early enough . a poet who cares |
