My Son My Son, how I love you. There exists no ocean that could compete with the depth. No mountain attains a greater height. No eternity more infinite. And “pride” is best defined, By the look in my eyes, When you are near. My Son, how I love you. What grave indifference, The opinions of others is given, When in dispute With the opinion you express. A trust that is nurtured, Over many years of unquestionable love. My Son, how I love you. For God, in all his glory, Has never bestowed upon me, A gift More precious than you. How do I tell you? Explain? You are my life. My Son. How I love you. And as you go through your life, Keep that near. For there exists no ocean too deep for you to cross. No mountain to high for you to scale, For I taught you well, my Son. I taught you for one reason alone. I love you. |

Thank you, Lady. I actually have three sons and each "knows" this was written for them, expressly. |

You touched me. This is a wonderful tribute to your sons. I would like to share it with my mother if you don't mind. She lost her son - and the hole has never been filled. I know she would love this poem. aziza |
