Precious person, it hurts to find, That certain things now will remind. The memories not watered down, But strong they come back, Round and round. Not even small ones fade to die, From consciousness they seem to hide. Everything we did as one, Recalled so well, or yet to come. It hurts to have my love declined, Dearest person in my mind. In all my thoughts on love before, When adolescent and mature, I wanted so much to love well, Be loved back and my heart tell. Short our romance happened fast, We kind of knew it would not last. I badly hoped my dreams I’d feel, For a little while, you made them real. For us a reason planned did bind, Dearest person in my mind. To treat you well I did not try, I was compelled beyond your eyes. My loving hands and kindness meant, Was the least of my extent. For the pleasure of your skin, At my leisure, from within. And from your head, your thoughts I’d use, To help you heart and live your views. Rare in body, in heart so kind, Dearest person in my mind. Forced to be alone again, But why alone must I remain? I want you but I’d hate to see You long for other guys hearts in me. From you many things I learned, But the things I should, I can’t discern. Now if I seem to care too much, It shows well, you my heart did touch. Moving on now, in this world. I’ll seek your heart in other girls. By guy |

A very sad poem with a lesson learned. I like the last stanza best. Hugs Kimberly |
