5602 Those Three Wishes 11 August 2006 When sorrow was another day the one we wished never came Those unexpected moments the ones that frighten us even more As if Aladdin had a lamp and those wishes come true Then love had it divisions and that was often the case To be united, or divided on course wanting yesterday to be replaced Looking forward, onward to tomorrow from today Each heart in pain a sadness on account For when sorrow was another day you wish that sorrow was indeed, yesterday Aladdin is one of the tales with a Syrian origin in the collection 1001 Arabian Nights, and one of the most famous in Western culture. The story concerns young man named Aladdin, who is recruited by a sorcerer to retrieve an old oil lamp from a cave. After the sorcerer attempts to double-cross him, Aladdin keeps the lamp for himself, and discovers that it summons a Genie that is bound to do the bidding of the person holding the lamp. With the aid of the Genie of the Lamp, Aladdin becomes rich and powerful and marries a princess © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

I think the emphasis on Aladdin was more to do with luck, or the desire of overcoming difficult times a poet who cares |
