She was married, I wasn’t Each nite we talked on the phone She tried keeping a secrete from me The fact she was living N a broken home One day she came over I thought it was time we had a talk So what about that man at home I told him, he had 2 walk If he choose not 2 leave I’ll pack my things and go The only thing standing between us Is a closed unlocked door Now B4 she left 2 go home From my glass of wine she took a sip I need 2 get away soon Y don’t U and I take a trip We went 2 the lake We sat comfortably under the stars I let her know that the problem she had at home Well 4 every effect, there’s a cause A divorce would B easy But he’s decided 2 fight it N court The things that we R doing I’ve heard nothing of a sort He wanted all she had Never thought she may B hurt If he thought he had it on her On him she had just as much dirt He went N2 court blind Thought he had the upper hand He thought she was bluffing So he put her on the witness stand She looks at him and smiled As a stranger entered the back of the courtroom As he made eye contact, he saw defeat, it would all B over soon The chance he had He knew he had just blew it She winked as she left the witness stand Whispered sexy N his ear, thats my story and I’m sticking too it Copyright © 2006 Trent Brooks http://www.realitypoetry.com |
