Infinite new ones old ones hang on one after the next bedroom door plaque mounted porcelain title need a place to squat? in one high chamber or that small enclave places touched linen laundered nameless person would sleep the winters awake in spring. Wrist minus tags yet people call names recollect dialtones old calls hung up lines given one forgets where to go next after seasonal molts winter turns to spring whatever.. overlooked rooms thaw from hibernated rests sleeping travellers rise distanced from squatter views. name list cleaned cards neatly arranged a name corrected somewhere it looks vaguely familiar I mean the attachment of a face to a name.. when then they all awaken after winter rests slash open curtains to greener gardens pull open scant invites travel somewhere sit elsewhere nomadically nameless just the same one forgets the name of ones call distanced from the next. Think life runs on titles sleeps hard in winters to awake with a new name, as old habits get expressed come spring; the same nameless folk rising from heavy slumbers [This message has been edited by ecrivan (08-09-2006 11:55 PM).] |
