Dear Toe, on feet I sorely stand (There I do not lie) Humor is not in me Such wit I cannot supply! Born atop a carousel Spinning in a gown Such a refined fine La-dy None dare compare in town. Once I stood in two-two slippers With pink and twirly grace Parking to the music, I, a Valet dancer by mistacke. I took the car and ran with it To see how fast it’d go But found my slippers wearing hard, Right through the satin toe. (The cobblestone was made of Flint! Stone was Quadroslick! I slid into the movie show-- Stardom reel darn quick!) The sparks did fly and set aflame With gymnastic smoke-ring swirls; There were oo’s and ahs and the crowd exclaimed, “Where did you get this hotty girl?” Humbled and Embarrassed, My face surely blushed; I Revved up the ra-did-io To exit in rhythmic rush! Gunned my toes to the floor, To return in peace and calm; Parked the car, now quite the bomb, In the lot where it belonged. Now, on the feet I sorely stand, (there I do not lie) Humor is not within me Such wit I cannot supply… Truly, sorry ‘bout that, Toe! misc Great challenge! Thanks. I truly loved this ... but would love to be atop that carosel with you. May I? I don't have a gown but I can twirl. |

aziza, "In reality", Merry-go-rounds tend to make me dizzy! And as that's the case, I hereby bequeath to you the CAROUSEL and very badly worn ballet slippers! (I danced like a bull in a China shop!) Enjoy! Glad you took the time to read and comment. Sure glad you enjoyed. misc |

Toe, You just made my day! Thanks for your enthusiastic response. My head may commence swelling as soon as my toes stop... Nope, in all humility, it is my drive to "play" that writes the sillies, not so much a talent, but a puzzle to put things together. When I first began to write a couple of years ago, my sister used to tell me how I put words together awkwardly. Then I began to notice she was right!!! So, if this is ok, its because I've really had to organize and rubberband words to make them flow. Better put, to make them more elastic. A pleasure to know you appreciate my efforts and humah. Thanks, Sir Toe. misc |

Devine Chaos, Oh do tell, is it also pink? I do like pink... and it's so kind of you to offer, but I think I'll pass... (Oh, I was so uncoordinated; I have to laugh at the thought of myself in a tutu! Grace is definitely not my middle name!) But thanks for the offer! Glad to pass on a laugh, misc [This message has been edited by miscellanea (08-10-2006 10:48 AM).] |

EA, Somehow, Linda, I imagine you giggling a good bit of time. You know I luvz your humah, too! Glad to hear from you again. (I had to give my writing one good whirl before Summer's gone and I'll become extra busy! Don't know when I'll have time to enjoy the pages for a while, but until then... Be well. cathy |
