5597 Letters of Elle 08 August 2006 Love letters in the breeze words whispered to the sun Those good night wishes in speaking to the moon A world, a place to seek this happiness, and eyes to find Looking, thinking, wondering about her was it too late, or was last at last Open doors, a warming soul this manufacturer of desire Entangled, engulfed, another to think this place of heaven, her arms gathered Away from the darkness kept in distance of dreams Was this love, words of letters an alphabet beginning with Elle “The spirit in which a thing is given determines that in which the debt is acknowledged; it's the intention, not the face-value of the gift, that's weighed.” Seneca, Letters to Lucilius, 100 A.D. Now that is what makes it so hard to share at times in these forums, and the way this site does operate, or was designed to work Because being read in silence, in relation to anyones writing, still leaves a big ZERO to their name and forum post. It reflects an unappreciated feeling and has a negative impact on those who wish to belong and share their writing here. While there are good folks with a common cause on this site. The means of feedback or no comments, leaves a person out in the cold. And for that reason they often feel more like a failure than a true person in wanting to be open and share their forms of writing with others Those are my thoughts anyway, others may not agree. a poet who cares |
