Today was a fierce battle!

My bravest Cheerios lined up
against the edge of the bowl,
ready to defend these arteries
against the Cholesterol invaders,
who attempt to clog the veins,
capture the essence
of the life forces
that reside deep inside.

But my O's stood their ground,
they did not let me down!
So tomorrow I will be strong enough
to eat squishy Krispy Kremes
once again!

Yippee!

Did you think all this time
those O's were just for kids?

Do you think this poem
is really just
about cereal?

PS, don't expect to find
additional prizes and gifts
in those little O's boxes.
And Trix really are
for kids.
A crazy rabbit told me so
long ago.

I kicked the Trix habit
several years ago.
Now I savor the flavor
of each oat Cheerio.

My arteries are clear
~ Least I hope that's true,
So it's Krispy Kremes tomorrow,
For both me and you!
