shadow hair lady under pecan tree telling silver beads flowing water through half moon fingers long shade on white skirt brown fingers reaching she eyes wraps arms around his neck he lifts her strokes damp cheek boozy boozay la t’latte a bad bobo? charcoal man asks lady nods bahbin red lip bent to the threat of a smile row of white milk teeth bared charcoal man sets her down slips off her princess shoes smoothes cotton skimpy walks away lady gets up barefoot at noonday Papa looks for his doucette under the pecan tree gone |
