5590 Myth or Logic 07 August 2006 Some say it is not true some say the spirit does tell lies Of this to defy logic, that other spirit the one that was always in disguise So what do we believe as if to those choices to make Would it be real, or reality gone bad those moments of love, long or short term Could two hearts in truth unite or was that a myth called love Such an attraction, magnetic in force but as to a ship and no compass to guide in time For who was right, or of that to be left some say good is evil, if so addressed Maybe that was why we have religion to dictate to another in belief Then should this be mankind or logical to the rights to comprehend “Religion consists in a set of things which the average man thinks he believes and wishes he was certain of.” Mark Twain (1835 - 1910) US humorist, novelist, short story author © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
