If you’ve come here for forgiveness, you trip has been in vain I don’t think that I could put myself through all that hurt again. I don’t need to hear your reasons; your explanations are too late, They could have soothed my pain a while ago but now they irritate. I don’t want a resurrection, let’s leave that stone unturned Don’t talk about the fire we had - remember one of us got burned Don’t tell me that you need me, claim I’m the only one Don’t take me to that place where all my pain came from Don’t tease me with your laughter or entangle me with lips Don’t trace desire upon my chest with those soft fingertips Don’t say you know I love you and that you’ve always loved me too Don’t say it, please don’t say just because I know it’s true. |
