In a state of limbo

Consciousness negative all the benefits,
The minds eye which closes and therefore prevents,
The super ego keeping us from being free,
The lag between perception and circumstance,
Unconsciousness blocking us from innocence,
The senses always failing to filter out the sh*t,
Our sense of time failing to capture a significant moment,
No time to allow ideas to grow and ferment.

A rapid rush of adrenaline is the truest thing alive,
In a state of hyperactivity, towards fight or flight we strive,
Not a moment’s hesitation between action and reaction,
Exercise the muscle or be plagued with stagnation.

Boundaries arbitrarily created by the mind,
A foundation of mankind since we climbed out of the slime,
Primordial function of our effort to stake a position,
In a world we don’t understand, or so says the opposition,
It’s a subject of friction between the wise men and the blind,
It’s a fight which will take place until the end of time.
