dreams sent over seas

two kids got lost
across two seas
and two bright eyes
batted their lashes against a deep blue night
counting the stars their lover had seen fade
from a window too far away
to offer comfort with it's light.

i can see your sunshine
even when you've decided to
take company with the moon
and i can sing the lullabye's you whispered
deep inside my head
to wrap myself in an idea that calms,
that soon enough you'll be back
under the blankets you belong
and i'll rest safely on your shoulder
as we drift off into dreams so deep
we'll hope to not wake up.

my mind could stay close to home
even with you gone
but it travels over airwaves
to try to catch your eye
and stay captured in your thoughts.

i hope your dreams all end like mine
with smiles, butterflies, and a love too true
to ignore come the morning's shades of pink and purple.

if i close my eyes tight enough
and keep them shut so long
could i please fast-forward through these weeks
and find you next to me when they open?

Aw, separation is difficult. I especially lke the fast-forwarding to find your loved one back with you. If this is actually your circumstances, I pray you'll soon be reunited.

this is currently my cirumstance :-(
annnnd i should be seeing him in 13 days!!! :-)
it just doesnt seem like soon enough.
it feels so so far away.
