Dance With Me

I am cold
and yet I drink soda with ice
How stupid is that
I wonder
If I close my eyes
I can slip into my mind
as a core of warmth
grows and surrounds my heart
and my limbs tingle
I could hypnotized myself
I think
But could I wake myself up again
and could I make myself nicer
kinder, gentler
A new improved model
of what I was
Self pity is not becoming
nor is this chip I carry
on my shoulder today
Get over it.
Move on.
Dance with me
embrace the woman in pain
and dance with her
her who is me
dance with me, oh please
for we are one and the same.

I would be delighted my friend to take the chance and have the dance, I am not a good dancer though, you might then write a poem about sore feet. Good write dear friend.
