Six Days of Rain I saw that eventuality approaching Slowly over mountains once drenched in the sun’s bliss; I should have noticed it then, The sudden change of Seasons, And the hopeless whistle of the hummingbird’s flight… But sweet smelling perfume lured me once again… The weatherman reports, rainy days ahead As I try to stay dry and sober… But my passion left me defenseless, Unable to fend off the blows of her lovemaking… I should have seen it coming, Even after that first bite--- A deep kiss, promising me a love that would last forever… Will my darkened days, continue to suffocate my nights? Those are questions my frown refuses to answer, As the raindrops continue to tap on my window… I should have seen it coming, Especially after that night she said, “Bye, bye”, When deep inside, my soul heard her whisper, “goodbye”… But my naiveté made the pain that much more real, To a man that made the mistake of loving too much… This seventh day awakens me to the sunshine’s kiss, Much like a butterfly reborn from silk cocoon, Or the lavender rose that blooms for beauty; These eyes have awakened to new hope, To which my heart begins to beat again… Marcel |

Very poignant, but I don't think anyone can ever love too much. I think that is the only thing in life you can keep getting and never get tired of. Very nice work. Waste not a second ~ Carpe' Diem |
