Waiting

I had said I loved him
but there were
flaws in me
that could not stand
and I went on
(I never said alone)
but I went on
and picked a place
similar to one
before introduced to
a barren walk
where thousands before me
that I will never meet
have walked on glass
with broken feet
so mine do not
have to bleed
the place for me to go
now for the calm
where the moon
stretches for miles
and diamonds sparkle
in the waves
and the only sound
are the echoes of laughter
caught in the hollow reeds
dying on the beach
with me
waiting

just some words cut from
the diary of my heart

Hauntingly beautiful Helen.
Well done.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

A picture I can feel. Thank you for sharing it.
