 ~Rondeau Bay~ When August arrives I can picture you there outside the cozy cottage in your favourite chair. Watching and feeding your hummingbirds- understanding the chipmunk's every 'word'. Maneuvering Jessica 11 expertly across the bay.. stalking last years' small mouth that got away. Spotting the wind surfers handling the waves, while the teens on the dock catch a few rays. Our own 'summer olympics' every year 'Walking the log' always brings a big cheer. With medals and prizes we try hard to win.. having this much fun..why it must be a sin ! Evening meals may not be filet mignon..but juicy burgers go great with cabernet sauvignon. Manyevenings are spent around the campfire.. never knowing what magic is about to transpire. We all listened and heard it loud and clear, Someone played the harmonica with his ear ! Our sons on their guitars put on a great show, And then there's magic, by 'the wiz' don't ya know ? Quiet talks and laughter as the hour grows late Wanting to stay forever, in this mystical state. The statuesque herons, the call of the loon Watching the sunrise..no sleeping till noon! Time flies so quickly...gee, I wish I could stay right here where I found...the magic of the bay. This piece of Heaven on earth you so kindly share Good friends such as you two...are so very rare. If some year I can't make it.. for some reason I can't come, Remember my spirit is with you..on the bay, in the sun. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~ Dedicated to two very special friends.. for sharing the 'magic' of the bay ~ |

Enchantress~ Lady .. you draw me into the anticipation of such a wonderful trip to be had~ I can dig chasing the one that got away, knowing that it just gave him a year to grow BIGGER ... a mightier tug on the line~ May you find all the enchantment of Rondeau Bay to your liking again .. you deserve it~ Love n' *Huglets*  ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

While poetry is a beautiful form of expression, at times a poem can look simple yet be thought provoking. Other times there can be a hint of being a collection of being too cliché about it. Something to average to truly stand out in a crowd. Nevertheless each feeling will come on its own merits, So thank you for writing this one, but I do feel you could have given back more than the poem gave you in return Sorry to sound so harsh, but I do believe you have been less creative in this particular poem, than others you have presented in the past When if sharing is the main objective, of releasing such thoughts, then that attributes far more than if the poem is "average" looking and sounding, as to any other reason a poet who cares |
