thinking about how things could've been

makes me want to go back in time and win

               her heart even more

               but how do i restore

                     broken trust

i've been baking her so many pizzas from Meatlovers to stuffed crust

and i even went to Emeril Lagasse

                  to explain my lust

                  for her admiration

            after careful consideration

he told me that "maybe your starvation

            for her love could be eased

             and her appetite appeased

with some apples i have growing on some special trees

                          out back

sit tight, and i'll create a snack

                       tasty enough

to win her heart no matter how tough

                        her resolve"
