Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

A night of bad poetry
syrupy words discarded
inadequate, superficial
trying to express
only how much I miss you.
It's a longing that consumes me
as it embarrasses me
laughing, I mutter to myself
"It is only two nights, buck up!"
Knowing how used to being with you I am
comfortable in your partnership
cozy like worn flannel pajama bottoms
on a cold, bleak night.
I miss you so.

aziza

How can a poem be cute and poignant at the same time? I dunno, so I'll just enjoy!

I know how you feel. I have been away from my someone since... Well, wow, it has only been a week and a day. I will next see him in another two weeks... No, words cannot express that. Nice write.

This Is Cute, I Like It.

I Thought of You Today,
And What We Could've Had
For A Brief Moment I Had You
And Still, I Somehow Knew
I'd Have To Let Go

"cozy like worn flannel pajama bottoms
on a cold, bleak night"

Sounds like a wonderful relationship.
Good poem too.
