she lies on dream sheets
shadow hair calling on pillow
brings hand to mouth
bites
craves long pull of sugar water

pitches
sighs
wait so hard
it stains the close air

from the empty of her bed
she hears desire
droning at her porch light
lone accordion
playing her heart
engorged flower unfolding
desperate to display its bloom

charcoal man present
in his smug absence

What the mind does.
You are portraying quite
the character...

and I am enjoying your journey!

It is wonderful or
maybe terrible
what the mind does
Karilea...

Thank you for taking the
journey with me.

Lady

The imagery with in this, lights the emotion in this poem...and I feel it.

So wonderfully emotion packed.
Well done!
Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

I am still in love with this poetic story ~ I think you are one reason that "aziza" stayed at PiP.  She had to keep reading ... and then one day it seemed only right to be "Alison" among such good people.

Thank you, Kate.
