Why God Allows Pain A plant that never tasted rain, An athlete that never stretched, Ore that never walked through fire, So would I be without trials… You prune a tree, it gives more fruit, You bury a seed, it grows a plant, And I’m made stronger through the trials… Why does God allow pain in my life? Because He loves me. |

I don't think God causes us our Pain...I really don't. Good topic, thoughts to ponder and well written, enjoyed. |

::smiles:: I am reminded of a saying. Something like... " A clay pot sitting in the sun will always be a clay pot. It must pass through the white heat of the furnace to become...porcelain " Wonderful write ! :: bows :: |

Lee, Whetehr God causes or allows pain is up for debate, but what I am suggesting is that God uses the pain for our good, to make us stronger. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Goldenrose, Joy is shown to be the most real when it has endured pain! May God bless you. Ben “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

I'm inclined to agree with the thought that God does not -cause- pain, but rather allows it for our personal growth. Without the pain how can we appreciate the joys that follow? much enjoyed the read ~*Sheli*~ By words the mind is winged |

All of our tests should be through fire and mire... that we may come through, cleansed. Well done, Ben! |

Maybe God doesn't 'cause' pain, but maybe He gives us the tools to 'edure' pain - and that endurance makes us strong. I like poems that make me think. aziza |
