Dried Words

if i write i don't hurt
the feelings magically
become words.
a poem, a story
who knows, who cares.
it is all just my way
of dealing, of stealing
emotions i don't want
and putting them here
where i can deal with them
and i can turn my back
knowing that now ... now
they are owned by another
if i write i don't hurt
the feelings magically
become words
and dry up to blow away.

How wonderful was this dear friend, as wonderful as the truth of which so many poets as myself would love to express, you said it just exactly as it is and somehow that gave me a freedom, even if just for a moment, but it felt great. Thank you so much for these words that I will hold and nourish, protect and never let blow away.

Thank you for sharing Aziza, much enjoyed.

Sincerely
Rick

Been there....done that....bought the T-shirt but it dried up and blew away before I could put it on....

Isn't it amazing, how much you can heal by writing of the feelings? Something about the defining, the putting-into-pictures....just helps.

Ah, poet....

parts of this
are true;

parts...
of the other
have to be lived.
