Take my words Not sharply For to temper them I try And if in them You find rhythm Hold them as A lullaby To comfort Come the bleeding black Of one more lonely night take my words not sharply for I speak of what is right. Take my hand Not firmly Let my fingers Lie in grace Upon your open palm Against your Shadowed face And hold it For no longer Than my heart Is blessed to beat Take my hand For but a moment While forever Would be sweet. Take my life For now, forever From this morn ‘Til winters frost Embrace it Come the warmth of spring And when falls Leaves are tossed With careless abandon Blown by whispered winds About Take my life For now, forever Given freely Without doubt. |

Yes! A lovely piece of work. "Take my life For now, forever From this morn ‘Til winters frost Embrace it Come the warmth of spring And when falls Leaves are tossed" |

Thank you, all. It seems so much of my memory is caught up in the past, heart held steel-grip tight, that I forget there is always a chance in tomorrow. here's to tomorrow. ~sandra |
