Visiting Earth on a Guest Pass

now here man

the time, it is a changeling,
don’t believe it, if it seems to smile

the butterfly nightlight on the table,
sometimes I would swear it moved

its light vibrates to the curtain filtered moon,
their guitar string colors strangely dissonant

I don’t know why it is on, from night to night
nor why the moon is on, on any night

why it smiles, why it moved, but I would swear –
nor how I hear some distant soul song

beating smooth like pale moth wings flown,
moth magic to the dark, dew-scented flowers,

nor yet the giant chord of morning, nor the birds,
all singing as if they’d just invented it

Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

Brought to mind, this...

the mother of invention...

imagination...

what a glorious gift it is!

and when it flutters, briefly, on us
our soul
our light...
and leaves a dusting of particle
so much so that we believe...

someone comes by,
breaks it from our shoulder,
and says, "now here, man" and
cleans us up.

Then they push us on our way
from a day's dream that
will never, ever leave us.

THIS, sir, is the poem
you left here...

for poets who know

a wander's lust.

I thoroughly enjoyed. Nice work indeed.

I'm not smart, I'm just a tricky dumb person.

Ed~
You are in my head ... and what was it someone said ?
Intuitive ?
Psychic ?

Okay, here it goes ... two days ago I ventured into a new gift shop ... had my camera with me because I had been to the museum and had taken some photos of a friends art there .... anyhoooo ... saw this butterfly angel light ... took the shot ... got home and when I looked at it, she said, "You forgot to take me home."
Soooo, knowing that she was 'meant to be' ... I returned yesterday and bought her~

Now I *gift* to you the sharing of My Angel Of Light~
I think she knows you~

I started to highlight my favorite lines... but found I couldn't leave any out! *S*

Of course... it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind.... *G*

beating smooth like pale moth wings flown,
moth magic to the dark, dew-scented flowers,

Images just don't get any better... or more beautiful!!

Superb work!!
