Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

Gardener of Power

Swinging a machete high aloft,
I look around the room ~ thirty some odd plants
each poised to attack.  Guerilla warfare is
the way to beat them back into submission.
Undernourished and dehydrated,
mean to the core.  Lean and angry.
Vulnerable.
Only their souls keeping them rooted
in the pots they cling to.
Advancing stealthily, brandishing the weapon,
I smile as they shrink back to passivity.
Their leaves limp in their display of truce,
Shrinking and weak,
while I the victor.  Proud and aloof.
Powerful.
Give them a little of the attention they so crave.
