The Perfect Man In the realm of my dreams I met my knight in shining armor clad in cold steel met with iron mesh all as black as the night sky He stood as tall as a mountain with eyes as clear as the ocean his hair black like his armor and as messy as a lycan Gazing at me with a charming air he smiled with a loving manner embracing me in his strong arms he washed away my fears And when he let go, he lifted my chin making me look deep into his eyes like an open door to his soul he let me into his scarred heart Letting me know that everyone frets hiding their past in fear of rejection trying to get rid of their scars like a dog hides the newspaper And suddenly a demon came from behind rising before us it met with cold steel as "he" defended my honor with full force I woke with a startle, back to real life I'm taking my own chances to find truth between the lies. |

Atleast you found him...even if he is only in your dreams. So many times I've thought I found him - but some things are too good to be true. You can come close though, and almost does count in this case. Super right, lots of imagery. Very good. |

You are preaching to the choir dreamdc. I seem to have bad luck with the dating scene a tad, but hey I guess I'm partially to blame. I guess the lesson from this poem when I wrote it was that no one is perfect. No matter how much you want them to be. Thanks for the reply.
