Whistle Tree Could I grow from the sticks The limbs of enchantment Turn a cocktail mix Into leaves, love’s commandment Grow the charms of a smile Into foliage, crock or dial In the colors of autumnal hue By the tilt of my head Could the bark then in grain Once the secret was said Shower sapling with rain Pick the fruit of renew In blooms red, white and blue Or the blood in eternal beguile Maybe not at this time Or the soonest comes near Oath of soul paradigm If I listen to hear Reaching up all the while Leaning out long the mile Tune the music up louder in me Might I build myself a whistle tree? Kathleen - Kathleen~ I soooooooooooo enjoyed this~ My daddy taught me to whistle ... and we each had a special 'whistling tree' that we would go to so we could see who could 'out-whistle' the other~ What special memories you caused to rise in my remember~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |
