Here I sit lookin out the window, wondering what I'll do next, If I will say or do something that will make you blow. So I say nothing and do all that you say. I've always wanted a happy life, I really thought you were nice, But, all I see and feel cuts like a knife. and then you hit me not once but twice. Now, its been so many years, I wonder if there is more out there, I have cried so many tears. sometimes I just don't care. Now we have a family, I fear when they'll make you mad, The kids are trying to play quietly. They look so very sad. You've done it, The oldest made you mad, so you struck out with all your might. you hurt him really bad. I look at you and say, GET OUT! Here I sit lookin out the window, watching the children play, Now they play whithout fear. and we all smile everyday. |

I'm so glad for that ending Anger is a terrible thing to live with, especially for the children. Good write. |

I almost gave up reading this one partway though. Then I knew I had to go back to the top and start all over again, because no doubt poetry cannot be all bread and roses. Some times it will just be the bread, and worth every moment of reading, if only to find the way to the end in safety So I was more than glad I took the time in reading this poem from start to end a poet who cares |

This is a poem that shows so much strength and courage. You did it! You were true to yourself and your children. aziza |
