this loss
this you
that is no more
is a blow
painful
beyond description
but as these days do
terribly pass by
totaling up to the
inconceivability of a third anniversary
and now that not every strong striding
broad shouldered flat topped man
that happens by my eye
spins me into the unavoidable
inevitable
flurry of tears
I would today
make the effort to allege
that the pain is no less than before
it just besieges me
less frequently

Sweetie~
I think I'm gonna just go on out in the meadow and cry~

The pain hits us less frequently, but just as painful for a while ... and eventually starts to dull and just become numb.  Ya make me just want to hug you, 'cause I know where you're coming from.

Once again, you bear credence
to so many wise words from our past...
that we won't forget;
know they walk with us;
keeping one in memory...

and you do it with grace,
and dignity.

He smiles.

He now knows you must let go.

He also knows you only will...
when you can.

He also knows that through your loss,
you are helping others.

And he is standing proud in your love.

Ouch! I have come to know that feeling, and feel how much it hurts.
But you know that God is still with you. May He bless you through the pain!

Sending big heart hugs your way~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

am holding you very closely my friend...
I have another very dear friend who suffers this the same as you, and every year on his anniversary, she feels this so deeply too.

I know writing helps sweetie, and as Kari said m'dear..

he knows...

Bless you, sweetie.

Oh, lady... the only trouble with being blessed is the gaping hole left in our lives when the blessing is taken away... though we wouldn't trade even one moment of the joy to lessen the pain.

This is excellent... and I'm so glad the frequency has lessened... even if the depth of loss never will.

Well writ!
