The Gift of Peace

In restless dreams I wander
guided by a brief touch
that becomes a memory of you.
Even as I slumber restlessly
you are here at my side
waving your magic wand
turning my dreams into a preview
of the future you hold out to me.
As I grow quiet in your arms
you bring me the gift of peace.
