The Scent Of Wild Onions ~ The scent of wild onions used to make me weak for memories of loving you, of times I never speak, of a liaison, a passion, and then a release followed by a silence, then tears for its decease. I have faced the death of you well over count on fingers and toes I am far beyond, have passed the point where the sadness of days like those can chew me up and spit me out as if I were bitter, like goodbye; the scent of wild onions grows stronger, but brings a desire for you no longer ...and no longer makes me cry. |

Good to read your poetry again and I'm happy to read here that your spirit with time has developed a kind of immunity ... Very nicely expressed. -Bob PS. Thank you so very much for letting me know about the thread found in the discussion forum. I'm glad that I was able to address those who had concerns... and please please be assured that I'm doing just fine. |

"the scent of wild onions grows stronger, but brings a desire for you no longer" Indeed there is a new feel (and smell) in this poem passing shadows. Excellent. |

Wonderful words of wisdom. Scent is one of the most powerful memory evokers so if you have moved on from that you are doing well. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
