A young doe and her twin spotted fawns ramble 'neath gnarled oaks and gently swaying pines. Snow capped Mt Adams looms in the background on this warm summer's eve. I embrace the surrealistic scene before me. And as I prepare to take leave of this mini-paradise, return to my humble abode and job two hundred miles south of my own single fawn, now following her own starlight and dreams, it’s a mother’s heart that stays behind at the crest of that hill which overlooks the pastures where a herd of white horses sometimes stands still at sunset, staring as the last rays bend the day into night. And in the afterglow of this sunset, a mother’s heart beats contentedly, knowing her child’s passionate dream has come true. |

Love this poem. The setting sounds so beautiful. I have a single fawn too. |

Oh, Kacy, this is smile-beautiful. Obviously about leaving your daughter after your visit with her and the Lippizaners. Oops, suddenly (in spite of being born with good spelling!) can't remember whether there are 2 p's or 2 Z's or both - and I can't get up to see if it's in my dictionary, because my kitty-cat is lying on my leg, and in this household (and in my childhood household too) there is a law that you don't disturb a cat if unless you absolutely have to. - Owl |

Kacy~ 'it’s a mother’s heart that stays behind at the crest of that hill which overlooks the pastures where a herd of white horses sometimes stands still at sunset, staring as the last rays bend the day into night. And in the afterglow of this sunset, a mother’s heart beats contentedly, knowing her child’s passionate dream has come true.' I felt such soft love flowing through these thoughts~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

"of my own single fawn, now following her own starlight and dreams," Oh, Kacy. You speak my language and make my heart smile. |
