5523 All Three to True 14 July 2006 Hope, faith and charity, or all three those things in life, important to me Words of joy, words of love these words to openly live by Tears in an eye all lost in ways of faith For would there be a tomorrow this way of reaching out to her grace Apples on a tree, love upon the wind this hope carried upon a wishing star Could it, would it, will that ring true to whisper into her ear, “I love you” Roses are red, but some are yellow as well this harbour of amour and places to view Who said it might never happen never to be married, or openly say “love was true” “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13: 13 KJV There are many occasions when a rose is an appropriate gift, the colour of the rose being the deciding factor in whether or not the rose is suitable for the occasion. Red roses symbolize eternal love, respect, and passion. Red roses are considered to be the perfect way to say “I love You”, White roses are often found at weddings (innocence, purity) and funerals (reverence). Yellow roses send messages of celebration, joy, hope, and freedom. Pink roses are associated with friendship and marriage. Soft, cheerful and happy, pink roses denote admiration, gentleness and sweetness. A posy of pink roses says “Thank You”, “You’re So Kind” and “I Love You” in a way that can be considered either romantic or friendly. © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) _________________ a poet who cares _________________ View as an e-card |
