My lips form a smile
when I see the smiles
of the monks with their
robes and begging bowls
and the gleem in the eyes
of all the generous souls
who feel honored to show
charity and compassion
from beneath the halos
that they give to themselves
by a self-less act in the heart
of a sacred-self moment.

My mouth makes a grin
when I see the grimace
and sneers of those who
pick up their pace and try
to avoid eye contact with
one they see as less holy
and only worthy of frowns
and denial due to donning
frayed flannel and denim
while carrying cupped hands.

Sir Sy,
My hands have been blessed to both fill the cup and form the cup.  I have no doubt that I will continue to do both.  ::smiles::

Love this!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.
