Hey my eyes went that a-ways back a bit the way that said that I could be lost for days fingering the watermarks just above the height of me as if it all were just a lark like a leaf in dangling that I leapt to own and dark was recognizing all my ways significant and not at all blooming blood and anyway hey my heart and damn it's pain I wish that chorus of refrain would cease in their white frocks as they singing ooooooh-ah-la-la love and waving hands and dancing doves fluttered fingers down as trust in the soft white feathering settled on the stomp of stage and everything I cried was rage singing ooooooh-ah-la-la love and all the spaces wept, afraid of all the places that we sought and I would wish me home again-- if my home were not so...not. ooooooh-ah-la-la love... |

I suppose after Spike Lee has his "phenomenal" and "most important" HBO film ever, people like My Betty will get some much needed attention. She was only "drafted" by a FEMA vulturite, and yeah, we got her back and yeah, we got her an attorney and yeah, she got HER money back. In the meantime, suicide is up, my hubby o.d'd on the front lawn, (O.D. does not mean DEATH btw) and we can't get tickets to the premiere... and there are still teeny tiny flies coming out of our, um, PIPES. I heard it's cause we're white. But naw... so how's things with you? all of which is politically incorrect, so feel free to delete my reply and just leave the standard: "thanks for reading" I thought I should edit to add, that the above, if it wasn't obvious, was dripping with sarcasm. I happen to be looking forward to the Spike Lee version of Katrina. I'm one of his fans. |

So sad... but I suppose that those who go through it, know it best. Nice writing. Kristabell "Use your imagination not to scare yourself to death but to inspire yourself to life." |

I was there a few weeks ago... and if you stay in just the right place and squint your eyes so that peripheral vision disappears... you can forget for a moment... Then you drive another block and have to pull over cause you just can't see through tears... and carry home enough mold in your lungs to keep you sucking on an inhaler for months... and each gasp for air is a reminder. Don't you 'pologize for nuthin', lady. *S* |

oh, this aches I shall stroll a garden pathway today for you, tend a flower or two for you, drink something decadent, for you, light incense, for you, finger a silver-tipped goblet, for you, watch a sunset, for you, dance round a tree in twirl, for you, and breathe of renewal, for you, then sigh outloud, for you while wrapping you in warm thoughts send me your heartaches I shall dispose of them properly (not in the recycle bin) |

Karen, I keep coming back, reading and hoping I will know what to say. The more I read, the more I don't know. It hits me hard. |

As sad as all the scenarios are down your way, the spirit of the south is alive and well ~ and you are a fine example of that. Sending you a loving hug, Linda |

Thanks for listening to me voice my frustration yet again... and Ruth, had I known you were in town, I wish I could say I'd have joined you for that cup of coffee we've been planning, but as you can see, the people and the stress--well, I am not the only one behaving badly right now. So I just stay in my room. It's okay though, it's a nice room. It must be--I can't seem to keep people out of it. Love to all, and especially my friend Ruth, and Kacy? As always you know my heart. |
