WHO MADE ME?

at every
childhood
Christian
celebration,
I was given
spiritual legos
with which
I built
a god
that I could
rearrange
to my convenience

but this god
was deaf
to both
repeated mantras
and the sustained
sigh of life,
so I have begun
to disassemble it
only to find
I am dismantling
myself

My first read of the day...
and once more you set my mind in motion..
pondering your thoughts.

Well done!

Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

oh yes, a god suited to meet ones needs ...well said...for if we construct our own god and our own forms of worship, when they are torn down, where does that leave us.....sigh...I think we all do it to some extent...especially when reason strays from the manual

This one reminds me that some wise person said if we don't get to know God, we'll form our own imperfect changing gods.

Allow the Master Sculptor to reassemble you! You are worth His effort!

I, myself, could do with a bit of remodeling  every now and again!

Intriguing write!

Understanding and admiring your fine work, I will submit, for your perusal, the following:
...we are God's workmanship, created it Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
