I lie beneath the stars and moon Await the sun, the morning dew And breathe a tranquil midnight air In wonderment of what’s up there Beyond what these eyes can see There must be a never-ending sea Without walled-in horizons, Without horizons of any kind Filled with heart and minds Bottomless as the deepest pit Darker than a moonless midnight Brighter than summer’s brilliant sun. And the dewdrop that rests Upon this breast Reflects it all. To see it Is to accept Its reality. |
