Wellspring of My Soul
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

With each tearful drop
that drips from my weeping heart,
a fertile seed is planted in the
wellspring of my soul,
~For naught is wasted
in the grand scheme of
life and living...

Linda, your words speak for many I'm sure.
I'm sorry to hear of the lost of your mom, pray your dad is doing better.
I have lost both my parents but still I know they are with me in spirit, mind and in my heart.
I send many hugs to you, your family, know my thoughts are with you.

I shed a tear today
Silently, I felt it fall
You caught it
shared it
held it
felt it

suddenly
it wasn't
so big

You seem to be on the right track, Linda.  Your Mom would be proud of you.  Each loss makes us more aware of the good things in our lives.  It does get betterl  Love, Joyce

I really like this.  It makes me think that we sow our garden with our tears.  Maybe that is the beauty in the gardes ... it grew from each precious drop?

I should have known... that even in the midst of such sorrowful times, you'd find the good, the hope... and you do so with beauty of both heart and pen. *S*

Each one of your kind responses is appreciated.  Marge, your poem is sooo you.

I have so many challenges in my life at the present time. The greatest being the loss of my Mom and the the failing of my Dad. The least of my concerns is my seriously compromised computer ~ and I have a whole lotta crapola in between! When I get through all of these trials and tribulations, all will be well and I will have weathered more of life's storms and become stronger and hopefully wiser.

My proverbial wings are a bit water-logged at the present time, but soon they'll be taking me up, up, and away into the cerulean blue yonder!

Hugs and kisses to all!

(angel friendship and comfort hugs) Oh Linda I absolutely believe this is true, as the outwardly expression of love and tears only makes us grow richer in love and our hearts stronger in understanding and compassion! (wipes tear) Though I haven't yet experienced a loss within my family unit, I believe the loss of a friend in school, Cameron Strickland, changed my life forever and how important it is never to take friends for granted and such, and I could still remember ever so strongly that night when my sister Ellie was just a little girl, and being allergic to peanuts, she had a terrible asthma attack after accidentally eating one in a Chinese take-out cuisine, and how she was in the hospital for several weeks, and in the middle week I was all alone watching the house and the doctor called, sounding pessimistic that her condition was getting worse and saying there was a chance she would pass away, and how heartbroken I was that I rushed to the hospital every day after shcool and prayed for her in inconsolable tears, until I swear a miracle happened and she healed completely, and I hugged my sister ever so much and how that experience has brought me much closer to my sister to this day, where I've always loved her with all my heart but all the same we don't have too much in common, with her astrological chart dominated with air, and mine with water, and this experience produced a huge emotional connect that endures to this day! (wipes tear) It's these experiences I believe that absolutely make our hearts fertile with love, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Earth Angel,
I hope that you can get through theses times of heart ache and remember that we all get to go to be by His side and watch as our loved ones grieve. We hope and pray that someday they will be able to move on. Linda, I know the toughest thing is to move on because I lost my dad after only knowing him for 3 mo. He lost his battle with cancer and we had to say goodbye But I know hes up by Gods side talking about trains with my granddad and watching over me and my family. When I wrecked my semi he returned and told me it wasnt my time and blessed me by saying I love you but dont come here yet. He told me to take care of my kids and someday soon I would see him again. All the best wishes for your day of birth my friend.

Sincerest wishes,
Danie

EA, this is a strong loving belief to help carry you through your grieving. There's so much truth in "it's not the event, but how we handle it that counts."  You're an inspiration, my dear.

God bless,

Noah ~

That experience must have been terrifying for your sister and all of you who love her. I am certain that your powerful, prayerful presence had a play in her remaining with you.

Yes, the near loss ~ and the loss ~ of loved ones can make you appreciate them all the more.

I love you, my angel friend!

Danie ~

I got goosebumples all over my body while I was reading your touching response.

How sad it was for you to have lost your father so soon after connecting with him. But his love for you has survived beyond this Earthly plane. He is watching over you ~ and loving you.

Thank you for the kind, compassionate words and for sharing your very special story. They touched me deeply.

God bless you and your father's spirit,
Linda
