Softly swayed are these thoughts by the breezes which play
as the evening embraces the end of the day.
Clouds tinged gold dot the sky as the Earth breathes a sigh
for the troubles of just one more day passing by.

Subtle hues to unfold overshadowing blues
sending remnants of scattering cares to the wind.
It's an island of calm in an ocean of " do's"
to imagine you've left all the noise and the din.

Scarlet sun on the fade making welcome the dusk
I implore, linger on, your depature from sight
means too soon comes the dawn to be faced by this husk.
I lament just how swift is the passing of night.

But for now, we have this, your transcendent display
to replenish, perhaps, some of what's bled away.

And here you are in impressive form, and oh my sighing, you tempt me try to the sonnet yet again, but my meter is never quite up to snuff.

Yours, tho, is lovely.

It's so sweet to read you again.

LeeJ,
Thanks again, what a sweet compliment from one who writes as well as you.
Doc
Serenity,
And I have missed you. I pop in briefly and read a little, time being what it is. You are definately a source that inspires.
Doc
Midnitesun,
Yes, it is all about loss, and renewal. What the days take away from us in these cluttered times. A brief moment of solace
from any source is a balm to the soul.

I like this a lot.  It reminds me of a late fall evening on the beach -- having a beer, after a day of clam digging.

You have been truly missed.

This was just beautiful!  You know, I sometime wonder if after reading the news, if somewhere in this universe Mother Earth does indeed just breathe a sigh as I.
