Thousand Tiny Campfires It looked to be a thousand tiny campfires reflected off the windows. My eyes searched and looked for the smoke. They looked for the screen that hides you from me. I saw the burning and I smelled the heat. I sought the truth and looked beyond it. Truth became reality, the campfires were love radiating from you. Pure love, shining love, lighting your eyes and face, your body hot. Desire reaching out and drawing us close. Hearts and minds meeting, partnering, becoming one. Linking us together. It looked like a thousand tiny campfires reflected off the windows. Yet, it was a light from within as you shared yourself with me. aziza |

I'm picturing the memories surrounding campfires and it adds so much more to the poem. A well-chosen image! |
