In A Melancholic Dream

0 posted 2006-07-07 04:12 AM

There was a snowfall of ashes
Painting silhouettes of dead women in the streets
Shattered windows and bricks that lay in rubble,
It's all that remains in the picture

A twilight of mankind,
Resembles birth.

Join in the relative destruction of a natural element
The symptom of a conceited conscious

A historical poem
full of reflection
and nerve...

of the undying kind.

Thank you.

I have a book of black and white photograhs, The Family of Man.  I think the pictures were taken in the 40's.  Your words paint a picture that could be in that book
