Achilles Heel

A deadened stare adorned the face
of the victor
standing tall above his prisoner
muscles tensed and taunt
with sweat
his hardened face scarred like
leather

Bloodied with the soils of
battle
his breath went haggard
as he wiped his brawl
falling limply to the ground
he closed his eyes and shed
a tear

Getting on his knees he prayed
looking up to Mount Olympus
Asking for Athena's light
his locks of strength clinging tightly
to his face
drenched with mudd and
icy sleet

But as he got up to his
feet
his sandles twisted in
the sand
and as the waves crashed
to the beach
an arrow pierced his steady heel

I liked this a lot.  I love mythological things and the flow was perfect.  Good job!
