Hey Everyone,
I guess this is my first post here at passions.
I'm fairly young and poetry is my way of dealing with all my emotions, the good and the bad..
Hope You Enjoy!!

If they all knew me, they wouldn't be so cruel.
If somebody believed me, the tears wouldn't fall.
I wouldn’t be the girl I am,
I wouldn’t hide away in fear.
I wouldn't clutch to emptiness,
I'd have someone to hold me near.

There’s something deep inside me,
It makes me want to pray.
That every single inch of me,
Will soon be washed away.
Never to return again,
Then maybe they’ll see,
The warm loving spirit,
That they let bleed from me.

The tears will keep on falling,
The smile is upside down,
I begin to wonder who I am,
Why my life is dark and drowned.

Can somebody save me,
From what ill never be.
Can anybody help me,
To be just plain old me?

I reckon if they'd listened,
I wouldn't be laying on the ground.
Waiting to be rescued,
Listening, hearing the siren sound.

The dark deep memories,
are sailing into space.
My thoughts and beliefs are fading,
Into an empty place.
My breath slowly leaking,
my emotions getting lost.
My heart is slowly breaking,
at all dying costs.

Hi Jess, emotional release and cleansing here, I well know the feeling and write this way often; to put it down and share it truly does help, put it to paper my friend and don't live it all out, your imagination will take over and though you will sound down, you will feel high on life, enjoying what you can do. Very well done for your first post my friend, keep them coming and smile with life.

Sincerely
Rick

hello Jess!
Rick speaks the truth, with wise words and a gentle heart.
Release the frustration through art, and you will find doors of life opening you never imagined were in front of you. Enjoyed your first post of poetry.

Welcome to PIP. Hope you enjoy the new found friends you will find.
As Rick said...writing is a good release for pent up feelings. Good and Bad.

Jess Welcome to pip.  Your poem was very emotional.  For a minute it scared me as I have been in the same feeling situations.  You have friends here at pip.  Your first post deserves a Bravo.  very well done and keep on trying.  This is a nice place to be.

Hugs Kimberly

I've found over the years that writing, whether poetry, prose, or just keeping a personal journal, are very cleansing and therapeutic.  I see a lot of my younger self in your poem and relate so much to the feelings that created it.

Keep writing, the pen is the therapist, the blank white page is his couch, and the heartfelt words that flow and fill are the healing process.  Your talent will bring them all together

Welcome!  I recently posted my own first poem on the board and everyone here is wonderful.

You're poem is wonderful, and it's brave of you to share such deep emotion with us.  For that I thank you!  Keep it up.
