Phases

I often go back to the old places
where my footprints have long been washed away-
from times I knew and forgot the faces
remnants and ashes of a yesterday.

And if someone were to tell me it was all a dream I made
if I did not go back, I just might believe-
the mind plays tricks, memories will fade
time gone past, difficult to conceive.

And somewhere in a time not yet known or seen
it will be this very moment I'll be returning to-
tomorrow takes now and dissolves it to dream
today just passed away
and no one even knew.

hmmmm, your dead on, made me ponder the many days, I spent feeling so badly b/c of the losses, now only realizing, how utterly foolish I was to hang on, and not simply look for the good in everything lost...
