Another Afternoon of Storms

Afternoon storms
once again fill the day
and in my room
thoughts of you fill the air
as I imagine your warm smile...

Thunder rolling by
as a soft rain begins to fall
windows becoming translucent
with small droplets of water following
paths left from rains past...

Reminding me, and imploring me to shout:
Why are we so indifferent to what might be?
Or at least could be?
What is so important about reality?
Can we not change it?
Should we not want to try?

What memories will hold fast tomorrow,
even next year?
What thoughts will be as present as today?
Will we be together as we pass through that day?
Or will it be another memory to reminisce,
you and I, so far apart in miles, and restraint?
Living an un-living life
Pretending we have a full day ahead
Yet, forever alone,
two lives one without the other.
Are we imposters, or realists?
Or is this just another
afternoon of storms...

A wonderful read.

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.

Morning JL,

souls heavy with pain &
suffering may be regarded as "the healing" restoring it to health where it can realize its true potential that we are indeed adorned...perhaps realizing emaculate love?

Hugs to you for a great day

Thanks all!!  You people are way too kind!

JO?  What do you mean maybe both??
I think you are so silly!

Thanks Jo...
