Grandma’s Are Special That Way By Paul Wilson Have I got a deal for you said the bacon to the egg Give me a minute or two grits are almost done I beg Biscuits are starting to rise made from scratch by Grandma Wash your sleepy little eyes come sit right next to Grandpa Homemade jelly taste so sweet put a little on your plate Fresh milk washes down what we eat it’s breakfast time don’t be late I’m so full I could just bust I tell grandma with a smile Not wanting to stop but I must she says eat you’re still growing child I remember those special days when grandma cooked just for me Breakfast, lunch and dinner always and special desert’s you’d agree I remember she took me to a picture show one day Staring Elvis said the marquee we watched him sing and sway I miss my grandma and her smile she was very special to me We would sit and talk awhile she was the greatest grandma you see ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

Karilea...You are so right. Grandma's have a way of spoiling those grand children. Thanks for the read and your reply...Paul Marge...I knew you would relate to this having those two beautiful grand daughters. This reminds me of my great gramma. I would spend ALL my available time at her house when I was little. I would ALWAYS look forward to her eggs (she could always make them perfectly) and her chocolate cake (the cake is lengendary). Thanks for reminding me. |
