The World Still Revolves I figure you'll stop coming around and calling me sooner or later when you've had enough indifference or silence, whichever's greater. I've grown comfortable in this, this way it has come to end, I don't think we need goodbye, you were a lover, not a friend. I'll take all the blame there is for the fork here in the road, for the wall between, for the dam blocking the river that once flowed so crystal clear the future showed. Yeah, I changed, so what? That's what people do, and the world still revolves... just not around you. |

i can't figure out how to quote on here so i apologize if i don't get this right, but i loved the last bit 'you say i've changed/that's what people do/and the world still revolves/ just not around you'. that's one of the best representations of how things change when a relationship ends that i've ever read. wonderful piece of writing! "You can do no great things, just small things with great Love."~Mother Theresa |

Reminds me of an ugly old stray dog... You feed him a time or two... Pet him a bit... After that, he keeps showing up on your porch. Even chases off the other dogs. Hopefully you don't end up throwing rocks at him. ::smiles:: Truth be known...I have been such a dog. Excellent write! I love the sand and salt of it. :: bows :: |

I loved this! You go girl! Well said, Dixie! Just need to put Uriah straight on something. There is no such thing as an ugly dog - neglected and thin and uncared for and unkempt, yes. But ugly, absolutely No. Every single one of them is beeeyoootiful. Smiles. - Owl |
